The Dundas Cactus Festival is pleased to present an all ages, one-day event to celebrate our Valley Town.
FAST FACTS
The Cactus Festival is a fun, relaxed event with family entertainment and live music to enjoy welcoming our community back to celebrate and reconnect in a safe outdoor environment. You can enjoy live entertainment and musical performances.
Find us in Memorial Square between Hatt and King Street in Downtown Dundas.
Beer, Wine, Water, Drinks, Artisan Pizza (Prepared by the SHED). Please bring cash for purchases.
Strollers are welcome, but no pets are allowed (except for service dogs).
2021 Public Health Measures:
- Contract tracing and screening upon entry along with a neon green wristband provided for you to wear. (NOTE: We are not asking for vaccination proof or status)
- Masks required at all times unless seated at a table (anyone over the age of 2). Anyone refusing to mask will not be served or seated and denied entry into the event space.
- Space sanitizing and cleaning throughout the day
- Uniformed Security and Hamilton Police Services on site
- EMS Services on site

Miss Tania Lou
Tania Hernandez , a “bawn Jamaican” and citizen of Canada, is a teacher, author, poet, recording artist and Jamaican folklorist. She has delighted crowds in Canada and the USA with songs, poems, stories and skits that reflect the wit, humour and expressions of her Island home. Her just released book, One Pot, serves up a delicious stew of humorous true stories from Jamaica and Canada, along with her poems and Jamaican fusion recipe. Tania will release her music album, Shades of My Heart, in fall of 2021.

ReptileStore.ca
Combining education with entertainment, the ReptileStore.ca is a longtime performer at the Dundas Cactus Festival.
You will be fascinated as you experience a wide variety of reptiles, and learn interesting facts about their lives and habitats.

Andy G & Friends
Canadian Folk-Roots Artist, Andy Griffiths, has recently released his upbeat children’s album entitled ‘OUR CAT FLASH’. Featuring mostly songs Andy has written and a couple of classic children’s song favourites.
Andy’s love of music has led him to write many original songs. His family, including his pets, and friends have been a key source of inspiration for the songs he writes. He also likes to learn to play, and sing, songs written by other people.

The Hockey Circus Show
The Hockey Circus Show is the ultimate hockey tribute show. 3 periods of family friendly comedic hockey circus action in one “arena” rocking performance.
Described as “when circus and hockey collide” this act is sure to entertain all ages.
Acrobatics and juggling are just part of the fun!

Healthy Aboriginal Drum Circle
For First Nations Peoples, the drum represents the universal heartbeat of Mother Earth, the Universal goddess and mother to us all. The first sound that was heard in the world was the heartbeat of Mother Earth. First Nations Peoples manifest this heartbeat through playing a special rhythm on the drum.
Alan Loft & Tom Reape will be leading this very special perfomance.

Featuring Dean Young at the helm as ‘Henley’ (former lead vocalist / drummer of the Eagles tribute Hotel California) alongside lead and backing vocalists / multi-instrumentalists Mike Alonzo, Jeff Salem, Dan Bohemier and some of Canada’s most in demand musicians all covering Glenn Frey | Timothy B Schmit | Randy Meisner | Joe Walsh.

The Shifters
This four piece rock band based out of Hamilton, Ontario are known for their covers of such popular bands like The Police, U2, Billy Idol and the Foo Fighters.
They are sure to be a crowd favourite!

Rocket & the Renegades
The real deal straight out of Hamilton Ontario. Rocket aka Robin Magder Pierce has been described as Loretta Lynn meets the Ramones. High energy sets dominated by original material with influences in both rock n roll and country. Backed by a powerhouse band…Rick Prinsthal lead guitar, ’57 Trevy on bass and Derek Millar on the drums .The band has opened for Teenage Head, Robert Gordon & Chris Spedding, & has played several festivals including Canadas’s Largest Ribfest & Niagara Falls summer concert series.
